Forestilling med Hugh Lupton – engelsk tale

The trauma of the English Enclosures, told through the story of the ‘peasant-poet’ John Clare. This piece explores the porous borders between landscape and consciousness, between madness and exile, between a subsistence and a wage economy, between a rural and an industrial mind-set…. through the moment in English history when the ‘common lands’ were privatised. It is also a love story, and features several of Clare’s finely observed evocations of the landscape of Eastern England.
